Our Seminaries
Bruté seminary is located at Marian University and is where our men go who have not completed a college degree. Housed in an old convent but on a thriving Catholic university campus, this castle is a perfect place to begin your discernment of priesthood while also getting a great college experience.
Nestled in the hills and woods of southern Indiana, Saint Meinrad forms our men who have already completed their college degrees at Bruté or at their own schools and are now in Masters programs for philosophy or theology. Many from our diocese have visited Saint Meinrad. If you go to seminary, you could call this place home.
Another option for our seminarians who have completed their undergraduate degrees is formation in Rome. The North American College overlooks the Vatican and houses men finishing their final four years of theology before ordination. Dioceses from across the country use this special place in the shadow of the tomb of St. Peter.
Not far from the famed Arch in St. Louis, Kenrick-Glennon Seminary is an option for men in our Diocese. At Kenrick, seminarians may engage in formation for Philosophy or Theology if they have already graduated with an undergraduate degree.
